With just a quick photo of a product label, and within 24-48* hours Centriq pulls together user manuals, how-to videos, parts & accessories, and provides access to service providers. It even checks all your products against recall databases and notify you if there’s been a safety recall on anything you own.

Great job. I've been looking for an alternative to BrightNest for a couple of years now. It's overwhelming and I wound up giving up on it. Also, because it's being run by Angie's List now, I don't know if they're acting in my best interest or their vendors'. One final thing that I know would be helpful (and I'm not sure if your app does this): when I sell this house, I'd love to be able to hand off all of the basic information -- manuals, paint colors, home service providers, etc. -- easily to the next homeowner.

@mattholsinger Hey Matt! Thanks for the support! We currently have a transfer feature available in the "professional's version" to be used by real-estate agents, builders, etc. But we are exploring adding this feature to the non-professional side.

Hey Product Hunt! Chris from Centriq here. We are really excited to launch our latest web app here and are excited to get feedback from users like you. We built Centriq with the goal in mind of simplifying home ownership. Homeowners need to be acutely aware of just how much there is to stay on top of. There are a million and one things they need to be prepared to handle and understand, and that’s where Centriq came from; that anxiety where every noise “sounds expensive” and not being sure what to do about it. Centriq solves that. Buying a new product and not sure that you’re getting your money’s worth because you don’t know how to use it? Add it to Centriq and find all the features you never knew you had. Ownership needs to come with a manual and troubleshooting guide. Now it does. As we grew we realized that it went beyond homeownership. The problems remain the same whether you are talking about your television and sound system or your HVAC unit and washing machine: You need easy access to product information and support. A homeowner may use Centriq to troubleshoot and keep the heater running. A spouse may use it to record expert advice from a service technician on how to use the irrigation system. A guest may use it to make sense of all those remote controls so they can watch television. A babysitter may use it to find out how to shut off the main gas line in an emergency. You may use it to know what “that button” does on your camera while you are out taking photos. Here are some of the best parts about using Centriq: - Product safety Recall notifications. Centriq checks the CPSC and notifies you if a product has been recalled and tells you what steps to take. - Easy access to troubleshooting guides and manuals. That random junk drawer can be cleaned out now. You will always have the right manual for the right product. Every time. - How-to content. Centriq brings together how-to content from third-party sources and manufactures. You can find all the right tips and hacks. - User-generated content that’s easily organized. Sometimes you want to save a receipt. Sometimes you need to take a video to remind yourself how you got your TV set up properly last time. You can store all of that and more at both the property and product level. - One-click purchasing of parts and accessories. Whether it’s a replacement bulb or a case for your phone, Centriq pulls in the best-rated products that work with your products. And you don’t need to copy anything down. Just click through in the app and make your purchase. And... it’s all in one place. You don’t need to download multiple apps from multiple manufacturers or spend hours on google to get access to all the support information you content you need for everything you own. Simply take a photo and throw it in Centriq. Explore the web app, let us know what you think. I’m here to answer your questions. We love Product Hunt. Unfortunately, we don’t have a promo code for you to use in the app since it’s free. But reach out to me (cayan@centriqhome.com) and use the password: ProductHunt30Web and we’ll be sure to send some swag your way.

This sounds really useful. Would it work in the UK where I'm located? I understand that many products would be different but similar to American ones around here.
Christopher Ayan
@pupeno At this time it’s not supported in the UK, but it will be in short order. Currently we are supported in the US and Canada. But the UK is close behind.
Pablo Fernández
@christopherayan best of luck and I hope the north Americans can appreciate this product.
Christopher Ayan
@pupeno thanks! I’m on mobile right now so I’m not sure why it sent my reply 4 times, sorry if you got blasted! I’ll follow you on twitter and let you know when we are in the UK. It shouldn’t be long.
