I wanted to set myself a challenge of creating an online business in 48 hours or less. Cartoonit is the result of that challenge. My good friend is an incredibly talented illustrator who has recently had a baby, so the motive for the website started there. I have also noticed an increase in custom illustrations being used as profile pictures on Twitter and wondered if I could tap into that market.
Work on the site commenced on Friday evening and I have also recorded a vlog (of sorts) called "The Weekend Startup" and I'm just cutting up all of the video footage to add to YouTube. It's been really fun working on this and now the hard marketing work starts. Any questions and/or feedback, I would be more than happy to hear it!
