As we’ve been learning more about SEO, we realized that one thing a lot of websites do quite poorly is setting up good, descriptive alt tags on their images. The example on our landing page is actually pulled straight from Airbnb’s page on Union Square NYC! Filenames like `e8fa8aec8979.jpg` with no alt tags not only hurt your website’s chances of showing up higher in search engine results, but they also reduce the accessibility of your page for users with visual impairment. We decided to kill two birds with one stone with Carrot 🙂
