Assemble in less than three minutes without tools, and it's insanely comfortable. I'm an investor, but before you give me the "obviously you're going to say that" stuff, know that I was super skeptical. I went to visit Brad and his team at their Oakland workshop, easily assembled the couch, then subsequently napped on it for the next hour.
I hate Ikea and yet I keep buying their stuff. There hasn't been a good looking, affordable alternative. Now there is. "Incredible quality and next level engineering / manufacturing = the new IKEA."
@jkwade Great question! History has a way of repeating itself and it couldn't be more true with Campaign furniture. In the late 1800s early 1900s, the British military would go on military campaigns around Africa and India. The officers and generals wanted high-quality furniture in their tents that resembled the pieces in their Victorian homes. The furniture manufacturers of the era designed tables that folded away and chairs that collapsed flat. These products were carried from camp to camp by camels in crates. The Victorian design aesthetic using solid wood construction with brass accents made its way back to England and is traded on the antique market today known as "campaign furniture". We're the modern play on this classic story. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ca... !
