🆕 You bought yet another .io domain
You have a fun little side project that you felt motivated about some time ago. But now you bought yet another .io domain and started working on a new side project.
While your previous project may not feel exciting for you anymore, it could be useful for someone else.
💨 Products with a lot of potential disappear
"There are all these cool products that are on Product Hunt. Every day you think "that's cool". But most of them fizzle."
"So what I was thinking is that it would be smart to go through Product Hunt, go back 6 months, and just look at the coolest shit that came out. And then start approaching all these developers and say: look, I give you 5 grand".
– @awilkinson
But the truth is that it's hard to spend time approaching hundreds of makers without knowing if they would be interested in selling at all.
And so investors like Andrew won't really get to it.
💡 Solution?
I made a website where we can sell our abandoned side projects to @awilkinson and others.
Congratulations!
An ecologically cool idea, because those projects that we abandoned are drawing energy out of us. You need to move on and sell your ideas to those who will deal with them. And perhaps in the future they will sell them to someone else.
@ipatovanton Thanks! I've seen a few side projects bought like that (productexplorer.io) and I think it makes sense.
Here's a small post I wrote about the idea behind BuyMySideProject:

@thiscodeworks Thanks! I don't currently. But I already moderate the content manually a bit as there was one person who spammed with 19 small code snippets...
