Since we are doing well, a shoutout to @ishaan_pareek who has been immensely helpful these past few weeks. He has
- given me ideas on monetisation (Brave Rewards, donate button, paid memberships & paid events)
- suggested improvements to the site (improve page insights score, give vendors ability to display their discount codes, add testimonials, a "trusted by brands" section)
- spell-checked my articles (and caught a mistake!),
- suggested tools I can use (Grammarly)
- made a 'Build a Stack' QR code
- organised a BaS party (attended by his mom and younger sister)
- and more
He is my nephew and is 9 years old :)
@ishaan_pareek@richp_ Thanks Rich. I will look it up! I have registered for a couple of affiliate programs. But having a list like this will save the digging around for the right URL
@navpar This is really cool! I wonder if you're planning to add review/comment section, or a ranking system so that people can evaluate which tool fits their need.
@anunay It is technically easy for me to enable it. However, there are so many other good review sites (G2, Capterra, Trust Radius, etc, etc. In fact, we link to them on every product description page on BaS). And most tend to have good ratings for their product. I guess if you have bought the product (these are the people who review), you wouldn't want to disparage it in public.
I want to focus on the nuances of using the software tool. Mainly usecases of how it fits in a particular process. Also plan to review each software in depth. Maybe even allow for comparisons based on pricing. So, for example, if you require a large number of users to access a particular product, maybe one that bills per month is better than the one that bills per user. For example, Drift vs crisp.chat.
Hello everyone,
Build a Stack (BaS) started as a side project because of the tools I needed for my business. That list has now grown to 3,500 tools and resources. Extremely pleased to be on ProductHunt, the platform that has helped me find many of these gems.
The primary focus of BaS is integrate-ability. I believe that every software tool exists as part of a process. BaS allows you to choose a category, and then filter based on integration with 100+ other software tools like Hubspot, Marketo, Parabola, Datadog, Slack, OneLogin, etc.
The second focus on BaS is Usecases. I think it is useful to talk about how software is used in a company's process. I have made a start with a few articles but would love to do more.
In addition, BaS
1. links to all the review sites (G2, Capterra, etc) and up to 120+ other places on the internet that talk about this software
2. allows you to compare multiple products by functionality and integrations
3. saves your favourites to "My Stack"
BaS is not perfect. It probably has a few bugs, could load faster, needs more frequent updates, etc. But let me know if you like the concept and how I can improve it.
Oh.. and BaS is built with off the shelf components and no custom code.
Finally, as part of the launch, I have opened up a few free 1-1 consultation sessions. If you think I can help improve current processes, implement new ones, get to market faster, or just better your reporting spreadsheet/financial model, please book a slot at https://calendly.com/navin/30-mi....
