Briefy is an AI knowledge assistant that streamlines daily information consumption for pro users. It distills complex information into structured summaries, organizes them into a knowledge base, and retrieves knowledge on demand with natural language.
Congratulations on the launch today! I am curious how this differentiates from GPT-4 and some carefully curated prompts / a decent workflow? Very neat either way!

@cox Hi Cox and Briefy Team,
Just saw your Product Hunt relaunch and Briefy 2.0's functionalities sound incredibly valuable for anyone overwhelmed by information overload! The ability to generate summaries in various formats (overview, table, mindmap) and across different content types (text, audio, video) is impressive.
A couple of questions to understand your approach better:
- Can you elaborate on the accuracy of Briefy's summaries, particularly for complex or technical content? Does Briefy offer any customization options to tailor the summarization process to user preferences (e.g., level of detail, terminology)?
- Beyond basic search, are there functionalities for advanced knowledge base management, such as tagging summaries or creating custom categories for better organization?
As a full stack developer with experience in AI, I believe I could potentially contribute to Briefy's development in areas like:
- Exploring techniques to further enhance the accuracy and comprehensiveness of summaries, especially for technical content.
- Developing features for advanced information organization within the knowledge base, such as tagging, categorization, and integration with other information management tools.
I'd love to learn more about Briefy's roadmap and how I can contribute to making it the go-to platform for AI-powered information management. Congratulations on the launch and the generous Product Hunt discount!
Best regards,
Max
Cox, Briefy 2.0 sounds like a game-changer! The ability to manage summaries in a knowledge base and ask context-aware questions is exactly what we need in this info-overloaded world. The various views like mindmap and timeline are fantastic for visual learners. How does Briefy handle more complex multimedia content like podcasts or videos? Looking forward to diving in and exploring all these new features!
Hi Cox, Briefy 2.0 sounds like a game-changer for tackling information overload! The feature to manage summaries in a knowledge base alongside the original content is brilliant for maintaining context. I'm particularly excited about the multi-view presentation options like mindmaps and timelines, which will definitely cater to different learning styles. Looking forward to exploring it further and seeing how it enhances productivity. Congrats on the launch and thanks for the special discount offer!
@max_savonin1 very good ideas. Summarization quality and coverage are the top priorities we're working on for this product. Although we have been working on it for the past 8 months, there are still improvements to be made such as better support for longer content, and better summarization accuracy. What's in our backlog so far is: customized level of detail, universal search across the knowledge base, stability of comprehensive coverage for super-long content, etc.
Happy to talk more about how we can do this better. Thanks for sharing your feedback. :)
As a developer myself, I often read many documents. Briefy's summarizer feature is already very useful for long content. With this update, I now have the ability to save all my important document pages in one place. This is really helpful as my single source of truth.
We've put a lot of effort into making this possible, and I hope you all like it!
