A few notes on why we built Briefly: The algorithms directing our attention on the net are built around 'capturing' us and holding our attention for as long as possible. If we gain anything from our time spent, the value to us is incidental. We wanted a curation system that allows humans to select the content that they find most worthwhile, for the benefit of other humans with similar interests. Briefly facilitates this by bringing content forward for you to highlight and share across social media channels. Highlighting and sharing can be done with just a few taps. Highlights are organized by interest based 'anchors,' which are driven by community highlights. Anchors serve as content channels and gathering places for news and information.
