We’re a small team of tool builders made up of ex-Shopify employees—the company that coined “Digital By Design” and banned unnecessary meetings.
We saw first-hand how the best crafters and managers ran their meetings and presentations differently. They stood out in company-wide talks, engaged co-workers like Twitch streamers, let loose with dad jokes, and brought thoughtful agendas to every call.
We started building Boom for ourselves based on that experience—to bring some of that boom energy to meetings and presentations and make them more engaging, productive, and fun. We put a lot of love into this and we're super excited for y'all to try it out.

I'm curious if Boom is a wedge into replacing Zoom and other video tools long term or if it's focused on being a compliment, @robjama?

It would be definitely be cool to replace Zoom but for now we're staying very focused on building a sustainable business that's a great compliment to Zoom and other video conferencing apps. We learned from the mistakes of remote / COVID era virtual office startups who tried to replace Zoom. Can't replace zoom without a real unfair advantage.
I've been using Boom ever since Robleh gave me a demo of one of the early builds. It's fun, packed with features and really does bring a great vibe to meetings.
Love it just started using it in meetings and it’s drastically made it easier to present, have people remember who we are and who I am and have me standout. Love the app! Great work Boom team
