Yo! Appreciate you all checking out BodySherpa.
I spent 10 years coaching strength & conditioning for competitive athletes. We all know nutrition is paramount. Abs are made in the kitchen! The most annnnnoying thing for my athletes was navigating nutrition. Extra apps, looking up foods, and outrageous fees for a nutrition “coach” to update their macros each week.
I first had the idea for conversational SMS-based nutrition coaching back in 2016. This was before I knew how to code and before the AI revolution. I validatated the idea by hand Dropbox demo style. For nine months I logged every meal by hand for a dozen clients using spreadsheets and a Google voice number.
Fast forward to 2024. I've since learned to code and LLM’s have entered the chat.
Regardless of the outcome, I’m just so stoked to be able to bring BodySherpa to life after all these years.
Anyway, here's how it works:
1. We create a nutrition plan based on your body, activity, and goals.
2. You text us your meals, we track calories and macros. We plan to eventually handle images too, but don't want great to be the enemy of good.
3. Weekly check-ins analyze progress and suggest adjustments.
4. Adjust goals anytime; we'll update your plan.
Personalized guidance and no judgment. Be healthier and look better naked. Just add discipline. All in telegram.
Would mean the world to me for you to check it out — takes 30 seconds to get your initial plan, and another ten seconds to log your first meal.
Let me know what you think!
Cheers,
Murph

@duffdevone This sounds incredible! Personalized nutrition plans combined with AI-driven meal tracking and adaptive guidance make achieving your dream physique so much easier.
Hey Murph,
How do you plan to integrate image recognition for meal tracking, and what challenges are you anticipating with this feature?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin yes, absolutely! I think the biggest challenges will be 1) quality control of results, and 2) backend image processing/temp storage workflow.
Open to any ideas, especially on 2!
