Inspired by a podcast that humorously censored guests with bleep sounds, I thought it would be fun to make an app to let me do the same for any YouTube / uploaded video. The app transcribes your video and bleeps out your chosen words. Made to generate lols.

Inspired by a podcast that humorously censored guests with bleep sounds, I thought it would be fun to make an app to let me do the same for any YouTube or uploaded video. The open source app transcribes your upload, bleeps out your chosen words, and stitches the bleeped audio and video back together. Runs locally without needing GPU access. Can produce hilarious results in the right hands.

This sounds like a fun and unique app! How accurate is the transcription feature, and can users manually adjust the bleeped words if needed? Are there any plans to expand its functionality beyond YouTube videos? Congrats on the launch, Jeremy!

@kyrylosilin thanks! answers to your queries below! - at present users can choose from the Whisper family (tiny to large-v3), no ability to upload fine tuned models yet - users can enter in their own words to bleep - there is a separate app in the repo for uploading local videos - to be merged in the future!
