I was using WeTransfer, but Blakebill blows it out of the water—especially because I can link my Venmo.

🚀 Hey Product Hunt! 🚀
For years, I worked as a freelancer—juggling creative work, chasing payments, and using tools that weren’t built for people like me. Every time I’d send final files to a client, it felt like a gamble: “Will they pay me on time? Will they pay me at all?”
That pain led me to build Blakebill — a simple tool that lets freelancers send files and get paid instantly, in one seamless flow. No more separate invoices. No more awkward follow-ups. Just upload, share, and get paid — even with Venmo.
It’s faster and more intentional than tools like WeTransfer, and it’s built specifically for creatives and independents who want to keep things simple and professional.
I would love your thoughts, questions, and feedback — and if you’re a freelancer, I hope Blakebill gives you a little peace of mind (and gets you paid faster!).
📺 Over the past 7 months, I have documented my journey on YouTube which can be found @ FullStackGreg. 📺
Let’s make getting paid feel as good as getting the job done 💸💯

@gwalker1982 Wow you are a designer and a coder or did you vibe coding? No Payment, no download is AWESOME.
Many teams I know have huge pain on creators procrastinating, perhaps you can build a mechanism that is fair for both? (Just saying, sth like: have the [brand] pay platform first, otherwise artist don't even have to work on it, and if [procrastination] keeps streaking, final payment cuts X% automatically.)
Also, one small question, are there strong reasons suggesting using BB is better than fiverr (besides the platform fee)?

@sophiaatdola
Thanks, I'm glad you like it, I am living the Fullstack dream out here 🥳
Haha, spoiler alert, thats actually the next step in blakebill development!
I am in the mid stages of working out an "escrow-like" function, exactly what you're talking about!
This is still a few months off, but you clearly are seeing where this platform is headed!
So this is where blakebill beats fiverr & Upwork when it comes to platform fees; blakebill is a flat transfer fee at 5% for work jobs.
Fiverr & Upwork go as high as 20%. So using blakebill to transfer your files certainly saves you money in the long run.

@gwalker1982 @sophiaatdola Hahahaha, no one can escape from a cat art

@sophiaatdola I'm glad you like the cats! The UI is filled with easter eggs influenced by my personality. 😛
@gwalker1982 Oh the cat @ ___ @ Sho cute! And the product really would be helpful to a lot of people. Maybe do sth with selling codes like this too haha

@lianghua_changning Glad to see another cat fan in the group 😃
Any digital product can be sold here, so if you have clients you need to give code and not worry about it not being paid for, this is for you!
Love the focus on solving a real pain point for freelancers!

@supa_l Thanks for the acknowledgement! Hopefully a lot of Freelancers will see a lot of use out of this.

Finally, no more chasing payments! 🔥 What happens if a client disputes a transaction? Does Blakebill offer mediation or escrow-like protections?
blakebox
@desmond_ren1 Thats a good question!
since you decide whether to use stripe or PayPal, you can refund your clients their money if something goes south in their respective backends.
