@davidolski neat David! Walk us through your branding process. Not everyone associates smoking with elegance, but your design and branding are exactly that. What caused you go to this route aesthetically? Furthermore, how do you think our perceptions of smoking will change?
@eriktorenberg@davidolski Great questions. We feel as if the smoking accessory space is in dire need of a re-branding and so we've designed Billowby in a way that most haven't seen before. Our Creative Director comes from a fashion background (Everlane and VPL) and so we tend toward a more clean, fun aesthetic. ;)
@davidolski@eriktorenberg@davidolski Is the goal of the "re-branding" to convert new users (who've never smoked before) or to convert current smokers from their current shopping sources? I guess, my real question is: who are you targeting?
@bbzeven@davidolski@eriktorenberg@davidolski We're trying to make the experience of buying smoking accessories as normal and seamless as buying a pair of shoes online. To that end, our customers tend to be smokers who prefer a beautiful online shopping experience as opposed to going into their local headshop (assuming there's even one around them).
