Hello Product Hunt!
I’m Dmitry Nekrasov, the founder of JetMetrics, Inc.
Metrics are always of interest to users as they allow for a better understanding of a company's performance. However, many lists of metrics are often incomplete and unsystematic. After discussing analytics with the team and e-commerce professionals, we tried to find a simple and understandable way to present the entire e-commerce metrics system.
For several months, my team and I have been creating a in-depth metrics map for ecommerce. We initially made a sticker chart in Miro to better organize metrics for our own understanding of:
- relationships between metrics
- metrics that can be influenced
- useless metrics
After we shared the map with others, we realized how many people needed a exhaustive guide to metrics in ecommerce - 4,000+ users have already downloaded our metric map. To address this need, we have been refining and expanding the metrics map to be simpler, clearer, and more comprehensive.
This is the second version of the map you see now. It not only lists the names of the metrics and connections between them, but also provides a description, importance, and formula for each. We won't stop here either.
If you're just starting out in ecommerce, the metrics map can help you learn new metrics, understand and organize them.
If you have been in e-commerce for some time, the metrics map will give you a better understanding of which metrics are impacting key metrics and how to identify the sources of metric fluctuations.
How to use it:
1. Select metrics to track and review your current set of metrics
2. Explore which metrics can be used to influence key metrics
3. Stop tracking metrics that aren't very important
The Map has already been downloaded by professionals from Nike, Samsung, L'Oreal Paris and 30 other big ecommerce companies.
