šŸ‘‹ Hey everyone! If you have ever had anything to do with programming, you are probably familiar with the terminal. It's a powerful tool, but looks really boring. Customizing it the traditional way is complex and requires messing around with configuration files, which can be scary. Today I’m proud to introduce you to BetterTerminal, which is a tool that lets you customize your terminal in the easiest way possible, without having to open a single shell file. With BetterTerminal, you can: - Effortlessly set up aliases, choose themes, and customize your command prompt with a few clicks in a visual editor. - Apply your new settings in the blink of an eye, by simply copy-pasting a shell command. No need to fizzle around with configuration files. BetterTerminal works on Mac with Bash & Zsh shells! I'd love for you to try it out - let me know if I was able to make your developer experience better! Looking forward to seeing how you customize your terminals with BetterTerminal! 🌟

Hey Philipp, How does it compare with iTerm2? Congrats on the launch!
Philipp Kundratitz
@kyrylosilin Hi there, I'm not too familiar with iTerm2, but it looks like they offer a terminal emulator, while BetterTerminal updates configurations for the default Mac terminal, meaning that you won't need to work through a third party application.

Congratulations on the launch! On the tech side of things: Is this a prompt or a completely new app (terminal emulator)? Also, what tech did you use to build this? Thanks!
Philipp Kundratitz
@semanser Hi Andriy, it's not a new app, it's just a simpler way of updating the configurations of the existing terminal. You don't need to struggle with config files, and you can work in a visual editor. I did a little writeup about my process of building this here if you are interested to learn more: https://www.pkundr.com/articles/...
