Reviews of great non-fiction books. BetaGlyph is a website of curated reviews of the best non-fiction books out there, and a monthly newsletter of book recommendations.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
6 years ago Nuno and I, in a September afternoon somewhere in Porto, Portugal, met to catch up on life.
Fresh from graduating from university and with our first jobs underway, we discussed the books we had read that Summer, and thought of side-projects to do together. Some were maybe good. Mostly were probably bad.
We were both big bookworms, and were often the ones our friends would go to for book recommendations. And if they didn't ask, we would talk about our favorites books anyway.
So, after a couple hours, we settled on a project: a website with reviews of great non-fiction books. We called it BetaGlyph.
During the first year we kept an almost impossible rhythm of one new book review per week. This meant each of us would read a book and write its review every two weeks. It was too much. We've since tuned it down to about 1 book per month, and often invite friends or community to contribute to reviews as well.
We see BetaGlyph as a repository of high quality insights from the best non-fiction books ever. This means we try our best to only publish high-quality, relevant reviews, worth reading even many years after publishing them.
In 2021 we decided to give the project a facelift. And today, 6 years and 101 books reviewed later, we're thrilled to announce our redesign to the world:
🖊️ A library of 101 non-fiction book reviews (and counting). Learn more from each book with related articles, video interviews with the authors or Ted talks.
📚 Curated lists for our top books, books for entrepreneurs, managers and more.
🔎 Filter books by category, or search by book name.
📧 A monthly newsletter with the review of the month plus a few more recommendations from what we're reading
For the build in public community here are the stats of every post from the past 6 years.

On to the next 10 years!
Thank you for your support, and happy reading.
Henrique and Nuno
Two of the top five posts are already part of my favourite non-fiction books I've read. That seems good enough to encourage me to read the others! Thanks for curating such a wonderful list :)
