As a beer enthusiast, I frequently face a dilemma during my beer store escapades: I’m standing in front of an endless wall of beers, desperately trying to remember which ones I’ve tried and whether I liked them. I've wasted more dollars than I care to admit on beers I didn't fancy and forgotten gems that I wished I could rediscover. Then the developer in me thought, “Perhaps there should be an app for that”. I took a gander at the Google Play Store (I’m tied inextricably to the Android ecosystem) and discovered that there are a few beverage-tracking apps out there, but I didn’t find one that was as simple as I was looking for. Personally, I had no need for external recommendations, or links to buy beer online, or to socially share what I was tracking. The more feature-rich apps are great, but they seemed to serve a different purpose than the one I was thinking about. So...I wrote BeerSpin. Anyone else out there experience the same frustration when their memory fails them in the beer store? Any feedback or comments are much appreciated!
