What's up PH, BATRANK was inspired by us spending countless hours on Bring a Trailer (THE car auction site for unique and classic autos) and other marketplaces looking for our dream car, sharing interesting listings with friends, and discussing whether a car was a good deal. We love discovering interesting listings and evaluating them with data, so we built a product to supercharge both. Future features we're working on include: - Production API for users to access and power their dashboards - Finer-grained search - More interesting hall of fame categories - Surface deeper insights about listings, sellers, and buyers - with visualizations - A way for users on our platform to influence the rankings (hint: the flame emojis) If you have any feedback or ideas, please don't hesitate to let us know.

🚗💨 Hi fellow Product Hunters! Many of you can relate with us on spending too much time looking at car listings to find the right ones, whether it be to buy (fix:browse) that dream car, to market research, or to share in the group chat. As builders, we always thought on how to craft a better experience to do this and was more fun for us to use. Using our lessons learned building consumer products and data/ML, we started crafting the experience that we wanted and can finally share with the community. Some interesting things we found: 🚎 Why is this 1950 Park trailer the top viewed listing? 364k views, ironically #2 is a mobile home. 🔝 Surprisingly there is no overlap between top commented listings and most expensive listings 🇩🇪 Not surprising to many, prices of Porsche 911s of all sorts are still going up. 🔥 Some commenters be [wildin](https://batrank.com/listing?id=5...) 💵 Top 100 sellers are responsible for 20% of total sales on the platform, the other 99% of sellers are responsible for the rest Some of the toughest struggles we had was gathering and working with the sheer amount of inconsistent auction data and reliably updating it for users. Super cool website to discover trends in the car market. Really useful for dreamers like me who sift through vehicle marketplaces on a daily basis. The natural language search is intuitive and saves dozens of clicks to get to the auctions I’m interested in. Recommend the creators to aggregate more websites to deliver a rich search and discover experience for all users. Thanks!
