I am yasir and I know Kyle remember me and if he do see this post, I hope he actually opens it back up because that was the most nostalgic Minecraft server of all time and I hope when he do think about opening back up he can do some announcements and stuff.
Hey Product Hunters,
We’re ready to share bash.gg - a new way to play all games on your browser. Our mission is to enable you to play games, from any device, with your friends.
👎🏻The Problem:
Poor Experiences: Mobile gaming is limited by hardware. Most mobile games are spammy & focused on optimizing value extraction. Existing web games are junk.
Expensive: For good games, you need a console or PC, costing $600 - $3k.
Not Scalable: Consoles are sold at a loss & desktop computers are too expensive. Necessary hardware is increasing in size and cost. On the other hand, games continue to get more computationally expensive.
👌🏻The Solution:
Great Experiences: We’re bringing the best games from PC and console to your browser so you can play from any device instantly.
Affordable: You don’t need expensive hardware, just a stable internet connection.
Scalable: As games demand more resources, they’re run in the cloud. The games that don’t need all that power can run in a browser.
TLDR:
Consoles make it difficult to play with all of your friends. If your friend has Xbox, and you have Playstation - you might not be able to play together. Having games on the browser lets anyone play by just clicking a link. Not only that, but you can chat and play, all in one place.
I have tried MineCraft and from what I read in the comments there are some issues with the character being able to move, the experience is amazing, it works, but you can not move around.
I believe that once this is fixed (hopefully soon) it is an AMAZING idea. Please keep me updated.
@jorge_casals thank you so much for the kind words!!! We’ve been getting some bug reports about keyboard/input issues in Minecraft and are investigating. Thank you for the report and checking it out!!
@gabe Thanks for the question! We plan on doing a mixture of cloud + web games to cut server costs, but we have a similar long term vision to Xcloud / Luna. I think what’s different is our market — we’re focused on Minecraft/Roblox players who skew younger which also shapes how we’re going about building product :)
