This is my product! I developed Bardar along with my cofounder Oli because we found it was way more difficult than it should be to organise and experience a great night out. As Gen Zs, Oli and I are accustomed to using helpful apps to organise and quality-assure real world experiences such as going out for dinner (OpenTable or TheFork), going to the movies (Rotten Tomatoes and Hoyts.com) or travelling (TripAdvisor, Google Maps and TripIt). But when it came to going out, we found there was no platform to help us find great experiences and avoid terrible ones. This is why we developed Bardar. First and foremost, we wanted an easy-to-use, all-in-one app to help us maximise our nights out. If it can help other people do the same, we think that's pretty awesome.
Congrats on the launch Dexter πŸš€ How much effort does adding a new city involve? Asking because you didn't launch with the greatest city in Australia aka Melbourne πŸ˜‚
Dexter Todd
@jgani Hi Jonni - Melbourne is definitely on the cards for us! With our current setup, it takes us about a week to onboard a new city, however, it's more about supporting any launch with a marketing effort to ensure success that is costly and time-consuming. TLDR though we do plan to launch in Melbourne before the end of 2024!
@djft Love your attitude towards marketing. I agree with you. It's important. My comment about Melbourne was tongue in cheek, don't let it influence your roadmap :) All the best with Bardar, Dexter.

If executed well this can be a great idea. I think you should promote it in Sydney based groups or via local influencers to get initial critical mass quickly. Congratulations on the launch .
