@BlendahTom A combination of two things:
1. Wanting to take an open stab at learning the iOS ecosystem, as I felt like there was a dearth of end-to-end projects that I could look at. (Barback is on GitHub! https://github.com/jmduke/Barback)
2. It almost sounds like a cliche, but it was a pain point that I and many of my friends had: craft cocktails are in full revival mode but there's a huge signal-to-noise ratio, with a lot of the existing apps in the space having their main value proposition as 'quantity'. I wanted to make a simple app that focused on great recipes and ease of use, which seemed surprisingly absent from the App Store.
