Hello Product Hunters! 👋🏻
If you're anything like me, you use Twitter pretty much everyday, multiple times a day.
Twitter is an amazing place to discover new things, to follow people and businesses all over the world...
...Twitter is also full of bots 🤖
There are really fantastic bots like @unchartedatlas, which generates amazing fantasy maps, or @earthquakeBot, that alerts you whenever a big earthquake happens around the world, and many, many more.
But how do you discover these bots? 🤔
If you're lucky, someone you follow will retweet or talk about one, therefore you'll discover it that way.
However, there isn't a "proper" way to find great bots on Twitter.
Well....there wasn't! 😄
As the owner of a few bots myself, I wanted to have a place where we can easily find and follow all the bots that we’re interested in:
this is why today I’m excited to announce Awesome Twitter Bots, an awesome collection of the best Twitter bots!
In the past few days I’ve single-handedly picked every bot that you see on the list: the beautiful thing about it is that now, thanks to GitHub, everyone (including you!) can freely add new bots, and you’re very welcome to do so!
The collection already has over 100 amazing bots: thanks to the collaboration of everyone it will be an ever-growing list 🤗
The project was really fun to put together, because I've discovered so many great bots while doing it, and I can't wait to discover many more!
Extras ✨
Since GitHub is not the best platform to stay updated, I'm also launching a new monthly newsletter, and, obviously, @awesomeb0ts: a new Twitter bot that will announce every single new addition to the collection 🎉
Thank you and please let me know what you think!
