After many months of hard work and learning from early customers, we are excited to announce Lorem's launch out of beta today.
Charlie and I grew up building and designing websites for people and always ran into the same core issues on both sides of the table. As a site owner, how do I find high-quality, affordable talent that I can trust for both small fixes and bigger projects? As a freelancer, how do I find new clients on a consistent basis, avoid the price race to the bottom, and spend less time worrying about contracts/invoices/etc?
Lorem turns the existing freelance marketplace model on its head. First, Lorem is embedded inside existing products (like WordPress & Squarespace) and is always a button click away. Within a few minutes, you get matched to the right expert for the job instead of searching through hundreds of developer profiles and hoping you pick the right person. From there, we've built awesome collaboration tools to streamline the process and securely handle access, permissions, and payment, all without ever leaving where you started. Our bread and butter is web dev/design tasks for small teams that don't have a developer on staff.
