Robot Developers get a customizable and friendly solution they can use to apply quality gates prior to releasing robots into the wild. Operation teams get a centralized location from which they can manage the security aspects of all of their robots.
Hi @bogomep and thank you for your interest!
We at Asimov Security are tackling the security issues of the robotic system itself.
Today robots are becoming more popular and connected than ever before, but unfortunately robots today are similar to how our PC's were 20 years ago in terms of security. One example of this can be that modern robots are inherently missing authentication, access control & encryption in their inter-component network which means that an attacker with access to a robot's network is able to preform a wide range of unauthorized operations, from impersonating a robotic component to modifying the data that is passed ( imagine a robot that has a range sensor and an attacker is faking the real range of the robot from his target) And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
We preform threat modeling on various available robots and their components and our products are based on these threat models.
At Asimov we target 2 main personas:
- Robot Developers:
We help makers to find and mitigate security issues in their robots long before it leaves the workshop by integrating into their workflow
- Robot Operators:
We enable operators to easily monitor, audit and respond on activity in their robotic system and the network around it
