I'm excited to announce the launch of Art+Steps for iOS. As someone with a background in art museums, I think this app does a great job of marrying the visual arts with the healthy routine of counting steps. Art+Steps is simple to use, but it offers great reward for following through on your daily steps goal. Just set your steps target, and a random artwork is assigned to you each day. As you make accumulate steps throughout the day, the artwork is revealed in sync with your progress. The key motivator is that the entire image and related information about the artwork isn't revealed until you achieve your goal. Plus, as a great bonus, the artwork is saved to your collection so that you can view it over and over again. There's even a button that will take you directly to the artwork's web page from the original source, which for now will be an art museum. If you miss you goal, then bummer! The artwork is deleted leaving you without the satisfaction of seeing the final image and learning more about it. I'd love to hear your impressions of the app. Thanks for giving Art+Steps a look.
