Hate planning group holidays?! We know how painful it is! From endless group chats, sharing links that get lost in conversation to spreadsheets clarifying who's agreed on what... what a nightmare! Check out how AmigoGo is solving this today, in 3 simple steps
Hi Amigos and Amigas!
I'm Nick and I'm the CEO and Co-Founder of AmigoGo. Josh and I started AmigoGo after we planned a trip to NYC with two other degenerate friends 🤣. The process was horrendous, and it took forever to plan, share and agree on fundamental parts of planning a trip; dates, destination(s), flights and accommodation!
When we got back home we thought there must be a better way to get round this hellish planning stage! Few years after sitting on this idea, in June 2020 we got serious and started to think of ways to get something out into the market. Fast-forward another couple years and here we are sharing with you our first version of AmigoGo.
We really hope to get any and all feedback from you all (especially where it needs improvement), so that we can keep striving towards solving the everlasting pain of planning group trips with friends and family 🥳.

@deejtulleken Hey Deej, thanks for the question! We appreciate the support :)
Not yet, for now we're focusing on the planning stage, and payment is done individually or one person pays, but in the future we aim to get into split payments / group payments and also lay away budgeting (i.e. if you save up £5 per month you'll be able to go to ibiza for 6 nights next summer).
@nick_castrioty Awesome. The budgeting option sounds like something I'd definitely use.
Obviously down to personal bias, but my view is that payments are the killer in this space. Depending on how much work in this area you wanted to do yourselves and/or relinquish in fees, I think MangoPay (https://www.mangopay.com/en_UK/) offers some great options for delivering this via their API, which covers escrow, e-wallets and the like. I'm not affiliated, I've just toyed with the idea of doing something very similar to what you're doing.
@deejtulleken Awesome man! Yup I think either way we wouldn't want to build ourselves, so partnering for sure. I'd never heard of them so I'll give them a look and contact them. Thanks for the insights man, really appreciate it :)
What I love about AmigoGo is that you go right from the very start of the holidaying process - thinking of where to go, when and with who, all the way to search & booking, within the app. Nothing else in the market does this, so we're very excited to get this in trip planners hands.
