Hello PH, I'm excited to share our new chrome extension, Alpha. It's a really simple and fun way to keep up with the latest news in crypto. You can also keep track of top coins and NFTs and even watchlist favourites Why did we build this? 1. You have to currently chase the news via websites or scan your email inbox for newsletters. 2. You could rely on social media algorithms but you have to find and follow the right accounts for it to work. Both 1 & 2, make the users do the work and they chase the news. Chrome extensions reverse this model by letting the news chase you, whenever you open a new tab. We decided to use the new tab as our mechanism to deliver the news because 1. An average person opens several new tabs per day, very high frequency and prime real estate in terms of attention. 2. Because of the prime space + our curation model, we aren't competing with other sites for SEO or newsletters in the inbox for attention. 3. Virality: I really think chrome extensions spread as we screen-share and people ask each other. Future plans: For now we are just playing around to learn how people consume content and deliver them the best experience, but in the future we might build cool tools like wallet portfolio tracking and alerts.
