We give kids (and grown-ups!) a way to give back anytime, anywhere. Each box is themed around a big issue - from homelessness to clean water to climate action and more - and provides content and activities guiding kids to engage in positive, meaningful ways.
Hi, I’m Jessica Jackley of Alltruists.
We create kid-friendly, at-home volunteer and giving projects, in a subscription box.
I’ve spent 20 years building and investing in mission-driven ventures, and founded nonprofit unicorn Kiva. I’m also a mom of four, and am deeply motivated to help all parents, including myself, raise kind, compassionate kids.
90% of us want to volunteer more but it’s hard to find, schedule, and certainly to include kids in service opportunities. Alltruists makes it easy for kids (and grown-ups!) to do real good, without leaving their living room.
Each box has a different theme - from hunger to clean water to climate action and more - and guides kids through content, activities, and a donation (included in each box) that engages them in a positive way.
In each box:
-- A proprietary mini-book to help kids learn about the issue at hand
-- 1-2 empathy-building activities to help kids connect with others' experiences
-- 1-2 unique volunteer projects
-- Online giving experience where kids direct a $5 donation (included in the box) to one of three nonprofit partner projects
(There are also a few surprises in each box, little things kids can keep as reminders or touchstones so they can easily reflect on the lessons learned.)
The real magic happens with our volunteer projects. In one box, kids make a keychain and card that’s sent to our partner, a nonprofit that builds homes Mexico, then given to families with their first house key on it. In others, kids build feeders for migratory birds, give away gently used books, plant trees, and all sorts of other hands-on proprietary projects that we’ve co-designed with best-in-class nonprofits.
Every person, big or small, can help make our world better.
