We have been working on AllScan for a couple of months and are excited to share it with you all 💜 AllScan is an AI powered app which allows users to read and listen to anything in 38 languages. 🎧 Today, online knowledge is limited by language barriers and the fact that reading text is not accessible for everyone. *We found the following problems affecting a large number of people: 🤔 Finding blogs is difficult. People have to go online and search which should not be the case. Our vision is making blogs as easy to find as songs on Spotify. 😣Individuals with visual impairment and reading disabilities face difficulty in reading text. ℹ️ 9 out of 10 Indian internet users do not speak English and it is the same for other non-english countries across the world. The internet, however is mostly English based. 🗞 At present, news aggregator apps provide text based content which requires the user to leave everything else and read the content and even creates distractions in many scenarios such as while walking on a street. *Considering these problems, we devised an application called AllScan which can solve all of these issues as follows:- 🎧 It lets users listen to their books and documents by scanning them. 🔊 There's a Web to Speech function which reads out any online content. ▶️ It also curates a playlist of blogs and news related to a user's tastes in the blog discovery section. Users can read and listen to them at the same time which is a game changer. 🤩 Users can read and listen to everything in 38 languages. So say if you know English, but the content is in Hindi or Japanese, the app translates it and speaks it out in English. In short, AllScan removes all the language and accessibility barriers between individuals and gaining knowledge. 💜
