Airpanel is a virtual events platform that combines video keynotes πΉ w/ audio-first π breakout sessions for longer-lasting, more authentic convos. β¨ Host events like conferences, fairs, and hackathons and interact with others using voice instead of video.
Hello hello ProductHunt makers & shakers π
Today, weβre launching Airpanel β an audio-first virtual events platform.
Connecting with others in a remote-first world just doesnβt feel the same. Airpanel enables you to host an event online without losing the interaction component.
Chat with others using just your voiceβ it feels more real.
π Have authentic conversations with other event-goers without worrying about whether youβre making enough eye contact through your web-cam lens.
π Airpanel uses less energy than other online event platform β so your laptop wonβt sound like a jet-engine the whole time.
βοΈ Thereβs no need to download any software to your computer. Setup is simple. Get started right in the browser.
So yeah, if you have any feedback or questions we will respond in the comments π
(Btw, weβre having a Product Hunt launch party on Airpanel for the next 24 hours! If you want to join and experience the platform firsthand π https://airpanel.co/event/landin... )
@antdke Excited about this - I've become aware of the limitations of Clubhouse and Airpanel seems like it can solve problems for a lot of people. Would love to learn more.
Hi! This is the Technical founder of Airpanel.
I have built and run a skeuomorphic office space (mydigitaloffice.io) over the last 18 months, and 'of course' users have also run virtual events in it. It is pretty fun and cool to see who is in the virtual space mixing with others and at what table. But what is one huge pain point when 500+ people jump into a video/audio product for the first time? **Onboarding**
Audio-first sessions are very easy for users to setup. You just need a mic, there are no potential camera issues, less fans buzzing, and most importantly, more people can be in the same conversation at once. With modern webRTC this is huuuge as more people join, the less quality the session has.
This has caused some of the best 'well known' online event platforms to reduce sessions to 10 people or less! For break-out sessions in online events, do we even need cameras turned on? Clubhouse has shown us, not really. It is potentially important for event hosts to screen share, and show their celeb faces :) But does not really bring meaning to a normal user to show their faces with 9 other people (strangers), in small boxes, on the top of the screen π
Airpanel is the hypothesis: If meaningful sessions are the most important factor in making happy participants, hosts and sponsors, what would happen if we minified breakout sessions to just audio for virtual events? We expect that the ease of use will greatly reduce the learning curve, and increase event participation, satisfaction and engagement among attendees.
Awesome product! I wonder if could integrate Akkadu Multilingual SDK (rsi.akkadu.com) allowing users to stream content in multiple languages with AI Translated Subtitles or Professional Interpreters
