@eoinmcc Hey Replica Studios team, congrats on launching Voice Director on Product Hunt! Voice Lab, the prompt-to-voice feature for creating custom AI voices, sounds particularly innovative. A couple of questions to understand Voice Director's potential better: Customization & Control: How much control do users have over the AI-generated voice outputs? Can they fine-tune aspects like pitch, emotion, and delivery style beyond the initial voice selection? Integration & Workflow: Does Voice Director integrate with any popular editing software or content creation platforms to streamline the workflow for creators? Pricing & Freemium Options: Does Replica Studios offer a freemium model with limited features to allow creators to experiment with Voice Director before committing to a paid plan? We believe Voice Director has the potential to become an essential tool for content creators of all levels. Based on your answers, we might be able to offer some suggestions for user onboarding, content marketing, and reaching your target audience effectively. We're excited to try out Voice Lab and see what kind of unique voice creations are possible! @shadow_shadow1 appreciate you sharing your feedback, and apologies if you were mid way through a project and had a voice taken off the platform. It is an consequence of our ethical AI voice licensing model, that we allow our voice actor partners to choose whether or not they wish to continue hosting their voice on Replica when their contract comes up for renewal - we do not 'buy out' voices with a 1 time payment as that would be terribly unfair to the actor, they get paid 1 time and then we/our users continue benefitting off of their talent forever. We have developed the most ethical and legal licensing structure so that we build AI solutions in harmony with artists and creators, and we hope that other companies would find similar structures where GenAI can benefit the artists who's work was used as training data. That being said, we obviously don't want the other extreme where our customers are having to lose out, so very much appreciate your feedback on this, and apologize deeply if your project was affected. As for the change in payment model, we actually invested a significant amount of dev effort to ensure that our existing users from our early access payment models would be allowed to retain all their accrued credits until they were completely used up, after which, they could then choose to become subscribers to the new payment method. We had several emails and messages to indicate this would take place, perhaps you may have missed those messages or might have inadvertently chosen to move over to the subscription model? Anyway, I just wanted to point out that in fact we took into account the support from our early users and spent time and effort putting in place measures so you would be able to continue using Replica under the old model until exhausting all your credits.
