AdBlock with Link Intelligence

Ad blocker that also underlines paywall and click bait links

Free open source chrome extension that puts a red underline on links that contain paywalls, clickbait, or other malicious patterns. It's built using the uBlock Origin project, so will also block all ads on practically any site, including ads on YouTube.

Do I still need uBlockOrigin if using this?
Chris Han
@hasan_diwan It's built using uBlockOrigin and is a superset of its functionality.

This extension saves you time by underlining links that lead to websites with usability issues. Many websites have content that is bait to get you to pay, sign up, or is overloaded with bloat. If you mouse over an underlined link, it will show you the kind of issue the site suffers from which can help you decide if a link is worth clicking. We recognize that many of the users solve some of these issues with an adblocker, and we didn’t want to flag results that become usable with an adblocker, so we’ve included an adblocker in the extension based on a fork of uBlock Origin and only underline links that are still problematic despite the use of ad blocking. There is no use of any server, and thus no data is collected or sent. It’s completely open source and free (see link github repo in the product link). We hope you enjoy using it, and hope it helps make your browsing experience better. If you have any suggestions for how to make it better, or sites that aren’t covered, please let us know.

Congrats on launch day! Just tried it and so far it's at least useful at blocking out youtube ads so that's awesome 😂 looking forward to continuing to use and see what else it does!
