And for drivers, there's Wrapify. Request for startup: a service that pays me to walk.
Harsha Halvi
@rrhoover Give me a PH hoddie i will walk around everywhere wearing it for free :P
Mikhail Marchenko
@rrhoover Actually there is StickerRide for drivers and Wrapify is just clone of our platform) Moreover, in UK you have Car Quids who are offering a little bit different, but also smart product.

Just want to share some info, how our system works: Cyclists can easily earn money for each mile they ride on their own bicycles. It is necessary to download our application, install stickers at our assembly points, and look at how the miles they have travelled are turning into real money. By taking part in advertising campaigns, each cyclist will be part of a warm community. AdBike provides a great opportunity for advertisers to run a promotion on bicycles. Furthermore, our innovative online back-end solution offers real time media metrics on each campaign. We create interactive marketing campaigns, where an advertiser can get maximum involvement from the audience of the outdoor media. Any questions are appreciated :)

@sergey_elizarov Here in Amsterdam, anywhere you park your bike is a public display of the advert. Actually it gives it more time for people to look at it due to it not moving? As someone who lives and work in the strict city center that might be ever better. Do let me know if you want to come to Ams and I am 100% up for this.
Sergey Elizarov
@jpknegtel Thank you! After UK we will definitely expand to Ams, this is a must "do" for us) If you can drop us an email: elizarov@adbike.one it would be great! Let's stay in touch :)
BradMichelson
@sergey_elizarov Great idea. Any plans to move into the US?
Sergey Elizarov
@bradmichelson Thank you! First of all we want to cover UK, then most of the European "cycle" cities. Hopefully, we can get enough resources and time to expand into US while expanding to Europe!

As with the trouble with similar services for cars (which can often cover a much bigger distance), are there really enough eyeballs seeing these ads to make it worth while? I'm skeptical.
Sergey Elizarov
@bentossell While cars can drive only on roads, cyclists are literally everywhere) Especially in the UK
Ben Tossell
@sergey_elizarov assume you are referencing things like parks and not mountain trails ;) I understand that but I just wonder the effectiveness of these types of advertising placements. What is their actual reach? Advertisers may be reluctant too because you can't easily track metrics. A FB ad you know who many people saw, clicked and purchased. Physical ads in general are harder. Billboards/bus stops/Train spots are different still in that they are fixed in positions tactically so many commuters or travellers or whatever see the ads relevant to them. A moving ad like a car or bicycle is just a harder thing to sell to advertisers in my opinion, but I'm not the expert here at all! I am genuinely curious to see how it pans out.
Sergey Elizarov
@bentossell Yes, it can be hard to get track metrics back, however our company has created a special back end solution through which advertisers can see where each bicycle is currently, based on live time, how many people have seen the bicycle, which area is covered the most and so on... Furthermore, advertisers pay only for the miles covered and can set up special zones, where the most points should be awarded (For example near their restaurants, shops and so on).
Ben Tossell
@sergey_elizarov cool. can I ask how you are able to show advertisers how many people have seen the bike?
Sergey Elizarov
@bentossell In the back end solution, we have a special page with OTS data (Opportunity to see). This page provides detailed information how many people have seen the bike. OTS is influenced by different factors, such as time of the day, week, place and street and others. These all factors are combined in our special formula, so advertiser can see OTS data online :)
