Hey Product Hunters! Like most of us, I'm only here because I stood on the shoulders of giants, and in my case, those giants were the mentors I met early in my career who helped me develop the professional skills I needed to get where I am now. Also like most of us, I try to give back when I can: scheduling coffee chats with people who connect on LinkedIn, proactively reaching out to people struggling early in their careers, etc. But while mentorship can be life-changing, it can also be difficult for a lot of us to find: the paid programs are often cost-prohibitive, the free ones suffer from a lack of volunteers, and what ends up happening is that mentorship often ends up being out of reach for the people who would benefit from it the most. So let's split the difference. Introducing Adathena, a platform designed to connect mentors with mentees using a combination of individual and group mentorship sessions. The model allows us to ensure that mentors are paid fairly while also giving people access to lower-cost mentorship opportunities, and allows us to subsidize limited but free mentorship to members below various income levels.
