Hey Product Hunt!:
Many car stereos will automatically play the first song you have alphabetically when you plug your iPhone into the USB port. Some headphones do this too.
The most common suggestion on how to fix this--since it's your car/headphones doing it, you can't do it with an iPhone setting--is to make a song called "aaa" that's just silence and copy it to your iPhone. But that requires (a) making that song and (b) syncing with iTunes on your computer, which are pains in the ass and too difficult for some people.
So I made a silent song called "Aaa Silence" and put it on Apple Music, so if you subscribe to Apple Music, you can put it in your library for free. I also have it on the iTunes Store for 99 cents. Once you get it, it will play silence instead of the song that keeps driving you nuts.
I'd love your feedback and will be happy to answer any questions.
@joelle_writes yes--sorry, there's a longer one for $9.99 (79 minutes long). Apple sets the pricing--I wanted to price that one at 99 cents also, and was unpleasantly surprised when it showed up as more. That's how I ended up making the shorter one.
