Hey Product Hunters! We built 4rem to solve a problem - to help us cut screen time out of bedtime. Screen time limits are too easy to override, and we needed our phones for what it’s useful for - keeping time, wake up alarms, and the occasional emergency call or text (if you’re a parent, you know). So, 4rem was born!

Bedtime doomscrolling is my worst habit. 4rem sounds like the perfect tool to keep my phone nearby but off-limits when I need sleep.

Pretty neat! What's the process for unlocking in case you really need access for something?

@jason_lt I keep my lock downstairs in my kitchen, so if I *really* need to unlock my phone sometime at night, I always can. But the friction of having to get out of bed, go downstairs has really has helped create the behavioral change I was hoping for.
