👋 Hi PH! With Lyft out of lockup and WeWork just filing, 2019 is the year of the IPO. I'm excited to share the 3% Promise. With all the new money coming this year, this is the way for regular employees to give a small amount back to charity. Whether you're at Lyft, Uber, Slack, WeWork, Pinterest, Airbnb, or just want to make a commitment to support a cause you care about, signing the 3% promise is a great way to start. The promise is simple: by signing you're stating your intention to give 3% back over time. Exactly how and when you donate is up to you, and you don't have to put up any money now. There's some estimations that there'll be 6,000 new millionaires in SF this year. If they all gave 3%, we could: - ⚖️ Fund the entire ACLU’s legal defense work for half a decade - 🏘️ Provide 22 years of housing for 2,500 homeless children aged 12–24 in San Francisco. - 🌳 Plant one million trees in San Francisco (there’s currently about 120,000). - ☁️ Remove 10 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
