Place your guitar on the stand and click start, it's that easy. 2unify will do the rest. We have combined #robotics and #AI for an exciting & futuristic experience.
Hey, congrats on the PH launch!
I'm a guitarist myself and this seems over-engineered versus tuning by ear/with a tuner (which is v. fast). $1,000 for this versus just doing it myself doesn't add up.
Is there some sort of secret sauce I'm missing, or is this more of an art piece?
@boltfeedback Thanks for your message! Music stores, Music Schools, Concert Venues, and Recording Studios all have a large volume of guitars (80+) that need to be tuned quickly and accurately. Ensuring large volumes of guitars stay in tune in a covid-friendly way, while enabling the employees/performers to perform their main job function is essential for these businesses. The annual salary of an official guitar tuner is $50k and our stand is a one-time purchase (annual savings for businesses).
Tuning by ear in loud environments has also been a problem previously expressed by our customers. Our stand offers custom tuning standards (ex. Tom's Tune) for bands that play regularly and need to switch to different standards (especially in concerts). By having the guitar in the stand when not in use, you can ensure it is ready-to-play at pre-programmed times. Feel free to message me if you have any additional questions!
Right on. I think your video might have done a better job showing people who need to tune large numbers of instruments since watching it gave me the impression that this is intended for the individual musician.
@chrismessina Hi Chris thanks for your message! After speaking with many guitarists and musicians, the consensus was that they want their guitar in its free form. Having built-in devices is uncomfortable and forces guitarists to change their behavior. For instance, we had a guitarist who over tuned his guitar because his guitar tightened the string without him realizing it. Having a solution that does not alter the integrity of the guitar itself has proven to be the best option.
@chrismessina Thanks for your message. The stand would rarely need to be moved in places like guitar stores, practice rooms, and recording studios. Our team is definitely designing new models that can be folded for transportation, if needed.
Excited for us to launch on product hunt! 🤖🎸 As a musician and engineer, I've always wanted a "Back to the Future" style device that could help enable my creative expression! I'm super excited to answer any questions you may have!
