Today is all about tuning back in to our collective consciousness. Happy 420!
A couple friends and I have been obsessing over the problem: How can we get people OFF of their smartphones? In a world where we walk past each other like zombies, we're becoming increasingly disconnected from real life. We wanted to build a product that encourages strangers to meet each other and have real positive experiences.
The concept is simple: Put yourself on the map to indicate that you're open to meeting people. Each person gets their own public chat room. Discuss whatever you want: An activity to partake in, the exact place to meet up, whether it's cool to bring a couple friends... then hopefully you'll both be down to saying hi IRL.
This is the beginnings of a social experiment. I'll be on the map all day today in SF, hanging out in Golden Gate Park and making new friends. Join us!
