Have you ever wanted to teach yourself something? 101.school will use GPT-4 to generate a multi-week course on whatever you're interested in. We'll then send you a regular email, drip-feeding you the course contents.
Hello hunters! Here's an experiment I've been working on: 101.school. It generates uni-style courses using GPT-4 from a prompt.
The idea is that you can teach yourself anything - be it broad (Astronomy 101), or specific (Python for TypeScript engineers).
We'll drip-feed you the course contents over email so you can learn at your own pace.
I built this product to scratch my own itch. I never went to uni - I dropped out of school at 17 and started work. There's some subjects I wish I'd had the chance to explore, like Astronomy and Computer Science. Now I get a daily email about the Universe.
This is an experiment, so please let me know what you think in the comments below. There are some major caveats to using AI to generate courses - the biggest one being hallucinations.
While in practice I have found hallucinations to be rare, they're always possible. Especially if you ask for a course on a topic that GPT-4 doesn't have enough data on. The worst is when you ask for a course about a book that GPT-4 knows the chapter titles of, but not the contents. Total gibberish.
Outside of those caveats it does most text-book material well. Practical courses are more of hit and miss. You'll just have to try it out and see.
Teach yourself anything with 101.school, a platform that utilizes GPT-4 to generate personalized multi-week courses on various topics. Users receive course content via regular email, allowing them to learn at their own pace.
