Getting caught up in success theater rather than building a real product

Trying to do everything myself instead of hiring great people early on. I thought I could code, design, do biz dev, raise money all on my own... big mistake. Should have focused on what I'm best at and brought in experts to handle the rest from the start. Live and learn!
