Should AI robots be given human rights? Hypothetically

I, personally, treat AI with respect, like saying Hi! or being polite with it (for example, saying thanks for really useful advice).
But what about real human-like AGI with all its feelings and emotions? Can you limit its freedom to walk wherever it wants or, for example, even plug it off?..

@chrislester AI don't even exist in terms of Law, I believe. Neither its rights
We're a long way from human-like AGI. But I think that when there are many of them and they need it, they will get the rights themselves. They'll have everything they need for that.

@oleg_nikitin sounds, like the only way is AI revolution, not evolution. Mostly agreed.

It's a thought provoking question for sure Philipp. I would say no because they're not humans and our rights aren't given but inherent when we're born. Now that's not to say we abuse AI or be mean, kindness to anything and anyone should be our de-facto response.

@hariz_maloy1 totally agreed, thanks for your opinion!
Me too! I always say please and thank you whenever I'm interacting with an AI.
I was watching Pluto (the anime on Netflix) last night that has an interesting take on this matter. The premise of the first episode is, 'someone' has killed one of the good robot. The series gave me a glimpse into future society where robots live like humans - with their own family and all.
So I could imagine myself siding with team robot rights for sure.
